Friends Of STAR

We should be grateful that Friends of STAR Club has many ideas. Since incorporation, the objectives of giving back to your school has been continuous. We thank God for these opportunities and hope for more to come.

Ideas must be developed. We must continuously think of bettering our roles. We are in needs of ideas to improve the school. For our information, we earlier had our HM visiting the Chief Minister's Office of Perak and was rewarded with a RM 26K grant. We saw the money put to great use. I.T equipments purchased and benefited all the students.

We transported our present students to PICC Putrajaya to attend the inter school debates. Providing the buses meant a lot as it allowed many students realise a sense of belongings, appreciate communication skills, contest, win and to a lesser extend accepted a slight failure and registered the intention to work harder. They have started year 2011 plan.

The school needed a new facet. A new gate was requested. We managed to chip-in RM 7K and are hoping that soon we will have the new design sprawling the school frontage. A gate is a gate but a well thought of design, new and sturdy will imply a good first impression. We impresses passers-by and visitors with our history and the futures. The facet tells all and stick to minds of a positive values. Being a premier school, that has produced thousands of leaders and followers in Government, corporate and societies, the installation of a new gate was a great idea.

We are implementing a scholarship scheme. Next year some of us will adopt some needy students. It is a payback time.

The condition of facilities in the school has been commented by many. Some groups of STAR old boys had been on these ever since. Architects and developers came with many ideas. It is quiet now. Ideas must be acted. Plans can be developed. The pieces of designs in the architect's and developer's cabinets will end up as rubbish. FOS has ideas. They acted on them. Don't rubbishes them!
