While Others Were Busy Preparing For SPM, They Were Busy Preparing To Become Gangsters

IPOH: An induction ceremony for 180 new gang members was interrupted after police raided their "party" at a resort in Teluk Batik, Lumut.

State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan said the gang members were arrested in the swoop at 9pm on Saturday.

"Also arrested were 39 students, 33 of whom are scheduled to sit for their SPM (today)," he said.

Seven women and three civil servants were also arrested.

Those detained were taken to the Manjung district police station for further investigations.

Police used five lorries and two police cars to transport those arrested to the police station.

It is learnt that those arrested were separated into two groups based on their clothing.

The ring leaders of the group were said to be wearing Hawaiian shirts while the new members were clad in white shirts.
