At the request of En Hashim, the headmaster of STAR, Friends of STAR have agreed to sponsor new gate for the school. The new gate will come with new ceramic logo of STAR. The gate itself will probably be of stainless steel.
Friends of STAR agree the gate is an important structure since it is "the first impression" any member of the public will have about STAR. A new better-looking gate will, of course, create a better impression.

In a meeting between the STAR Headmaster, Tamunif Mokhtar and Rostam Wahidin with YAB Dato' Seri Dr. Zambry bin Abd. Kadir today, the Perak State Government has agreed to provide a grant amounting to RM26,000.00 to STAR.
The money is to be used to buy hardware for the ICT lab.
