Old boy Zaid slammed by KITA state chiefs
Kita state chiefs have demanded that their leader, Zaid Ibrahim, leave the party immediately.
Kita Kedah chief Zamil Ibrahim felt that Zaid’s sudden call to dissolve the party stripped the latter of any right to carry on as the party president.
“This is not a law firm or a private company that he (Zaid) can do anything with… It would be better for him to resign (as party president) and get out of Kita,” Zamil told reporters at the Putrajaya Lake Club.
Present with him were Kita’s Johor and Selangor chairmen Mohd Zaid Mohd Yusof and Azmi Othman respectively.
Penang state chief and Nibong Tebal MP Tan Tee Beng was not present as he was overseas.
Zamil, however, said that he was also representing Tan.
“There are other leaders who can lead the party’s agenda, and not his (Zaid) personal agenda.”
“I feel so disappointed to have a leader who has no principles, like Zaid.
“I hope that if he has no interest, or has failed to bring this party forward, I, along with my partners, will take on the responsibility (of heading Kita) even though we’re not as rich as Zaid.
“It is such a big mistake to have chosen a leader who has no principles.”
