Old boy Zaid tweets apology to Anwar Ibrahim
Kita president Datuk Zaid Ibrahim has raised eyebrows with his apology on Twitter to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"Anwar, I have said some harsh things about you. I am sorry. Politics sometimes brings the worst in us. I hope you will be fairly treated," Zaid tweeted to the PKR de facto leader.
A few minutes later, Anwar responded to the tweet, saying: "Thank you and continue to support the reform agenda."
Prior to their earlier fallout, Zaid was a PKR supreme council member and was a deputy president hopeful in PKR's party polls in 2010.
However, he withdrew from the race after accusing the party of allowing fraud and electoral misconduct in the election.
Subsequently, he resigned from the party and formed Kita which stands for Parti Kesejahteraan Insan Tanah Air.
