Malaysian Ringgit was then known as Malayan Dollar and $2.5 million then is probably worth around RM20 million now (plus or minus a few millions). If you look carefully, the dining hall, Tingkatan Khas block and the Form Six block were not in the picture, probably they were not built yet.
