Che Guevara, the rugby player

Che Guevara was born with chronic asthmatic in Buenos Aires. Worried by his conditioned his father sent him up to Cordoba for the clear air and crisp climate. It was there at the age of 14, in 1942, that he was badly bitten by the rugby bug, playing with Estudiantes de Cordoba. His father, also Ernesto, was alarmed and pleaded with him to give up but his single-minded son famously replied: "I love rugby. Even if it kills me one day I am happy to play it." There were no more arguments after that.
