VIP balcony is almost completed
The VIP balcony - built on top of the old porch - at the entrance to to school hall is almost completed. Only minor works like painting and changing the glass panes have yet to be completed. The porch has been strengthened to take up the new weight. The balcony will have a bird's eye view of the school field, very good for watching games on the school fields.
The balcony has no roof but will be equipped with beach umbrellas to keep the VIPs from the heat. The room behind the balcony (fully air-conditioned) will be equipped with refrigerator and other amenities for the benefit of the VIPs.
Who are the VIPs? A program is being drawn to encourage old boys to subscribe to RM2,000/year VIP program. They will have access to the balcony during games and to a private apartment at Yellow House whenever they visit STAR. The money will go towards the school co-curriculum activities.
At other times, the balcony will be used for school VIP visitors and for press conferences.
